I’m excited by it, but I honestly don’t know if I can bring myself to watch. I really want to, mind. But we’ve all seen too many things go wrong before and much as Musk is bringing about a lot of potential good, there’s just something about him that makes me a little uneasy when there’s lives on the line.

If it goes well, I’ll watch it as if it was live 🙂

Managed to see the ISS go over but Dragon Crew was too low in the sky. bah.

Should be returning later today. NASA report in flights testing went well over the past 2 months so fingers crossed.

also spaceX are going to attempt a hop of starship in the next few days. That ought to be a cracking laugh seeing that thing fly - it’s a silo 😆

I’m not sure if I got my sums / time zones right but re-entry is 6:30 pm our time?

Reentry is i think scheduled for 18:51, with splashdown aimed for 19:48.

Possible hiccup in the tropical storm off florida so they may spend a few days up there waiting 😆

side note: disappointing to see musk being a complete dick about wearing a mask. As someone on Twitter pointed out, he was surrounded by some of the smartest people on the planet, all who thought it prudent to wear one, and he still thought it was ok to spend a fucking age munching away, sitting next to someone without wearing one.

They’re protecting YOU Elon, do them the courtesy of doing the same damn thing.

Elon Musk is not my favorite person in the world, far from it (far far from it).

But consider that in 2002 SpaceX did not exist. Its now taking people to the ISS. Landing 3 rocket boosters post lanch (thougth BO came up the idea of on-boat landings yet but we havent seen them do it yet). Developed 4 new rocket engines. Catching fairings was considered daft - its now qute common. 2.5 new Rockets - with the fourth literally about to undertake test flights.

The man used to walk into meetings and get laughted out for talking nonsense - and he carried on. Yes he is a muppet, and yes he DOES talk a lot of nonsense, and I’m verrry glad i dont work for him but damn, he’a a visionary and acheives results. Doesn’t do it all himself, but neither did Gates, Jobs. Sometimes the world needs muppets to drag us forward.

Pressure issue in header tanks meant the engine cut out and, as you say, hit the ground too hard. Damn good effort though, and SN9 is almost ready to go….

I think this is the most recent failure.

Was a good one. Engine failed to restart. Sn10 ((already on the wtand) will fire up all three raptors and shut down the one with lowest thrust.
