The Q is Jim’s modus operandi in perfection. Make something that the customers want but then hamstring it in some weird way that just turns something that should be a no brainer to buy into a WTF.
There’s a paint by numbers element to what we’re seeing here. We need at heat two extraction shooters and and one big action game, oh and throw in some VR games but we won’t promote them (see Beat Saber not promoted at all in the store). It’s such a strange, grey, mealy mouthed approach compared to what we had during the ps4 era. I really miss that group of execs. something I never ever thought I would say about execs.
I am currently changing around my gaming setup (going to share a lot of the home office space with Rachel as she’s in an actual office half the week now) and when that’s done, I might find myself leaning more towards pc gaming until Jim gets hoofed.
Highlights for me though. I love the fact that dragon’s dogma 2 is absolutely in keeping with the first. I always felt that the animations were a direct reference to harryhausen, and I’m still seeing it here, it’s wonderful. I’m interested in marathon despite the trend chasing. Whatever the one was where you start in a book and end up in a table that looked lovely. Ghost runner 2 and phantom blade looked great too.
And if Cayde is back then I might have to catch up on my Destiny 2. Isn’t it the final story arc now?
