It has always been the same, look at Michael Andretti and Zanardi, champions and then nothing in F1. Same with Sebastien Bourdais, multiple champ, came to F1 and disappeared like a fart in the wind.
I think Villeneuve may be the only one that did anything of use although that was more to do with the car he had. Montoya came close to a good thing but could never really seal the deal.
