An interesting point raised here is with the cloud streaming.
If Sony are using Azure for game streaming, and the Xbox Series X is basically the same hardware as a PS5, will they bother kitting out a bunch of cloud data centres with PS5 hardware, or will they just reuse the existing Xbox data centre hardware already available.
From a money point of view it will be much cheaper, and the consumer will not notice any difference. Of course, when it gets out it could cause a stink among fanboys. Yet, as pointed out in the video, do Netflix viewers care (or even know) that their videos are being served by Amazon?
With a cloud based gaming future it may become more and more vague exactly what hardware your game is running on.
