Monolithsoft rumours turned out to be the original Xenoblade Chronicles which I’ve played twice 🙁

Grid out on the 19th though and there was some fairly cool other stuff in there. There’s a hell of a lot of stuff coming that falls in the “bloody hell, I’m playing this on a handheld” category. Overwatch being the real beast in that area. Looking forward to that immensely.

I’m finding their online offering to be quite frustrating though. They need to more than offer a bunch of retro games must folk would never go back to. It’s such a niche offering, it just boggles the mind.

Deej it’s really starting to look that way but I think I remember reading that pikmin 4 is definitely being developed, so…

@Fumanstu I guess. Like I say, I find it hard to go back to old games without being somewhat disappointed. I guess it’s just a bit frustrating as, while the group of gamers who like this might be bigger than I think, I don’t think I’m alone in wondering why I’m paying for it. By which I mean, this seems to be their main added value for the service and I don’t think I’m the only one who just wouldn’t touch it.

Things like Tetris 99 are far more appealing to me at least, but that so far is their only attempt at changing things up.

Deej yeah not the one I was hoping for. I’m probably not the only one who’s bought it 2 to 3 times already.

X was a very different, very daring take on the world. It was practically an MMO. Having that on switch would be mind-blowing.

I think you’re under selling the appeal of SNES games there, definitely not niche when you look at the sales of the NES/SNES Classics and all the news articles about it this morning. I think it’s pretty smart really as an added extra for a low cost (or free with all the special offers flying around ATM) product.

Was a really good Direct though, there’s a lot coming out on the Switch in the next 3 months and most of it, I wouldn’t mind playing. 2020 looks like it’ll have a few crackers too. Good time to be a Switch owner, I reckon.

Agree with @Fumanstu that there is a ridiculous amount of stuff on Switch. (actually all platforms and a concerning amount that I think the industry can’t support).
