So, Overdrive mode wasn’t as bad as expected, with DLSS Ultra Performance I was getting about 20-30 fps, which is bordering on playable… almost. I was expecting a literal slideshow so that’s not actually too shabby.
The headline though is that they seem to have massively optimised the normal ray-tracing as well, so now I’m able to run it with ultra ray tracing and full ray traced reflections turned on and still get around 50-60 fps, which is huge improvement. It looks insanely good like that even without all the Override path tracing stuff.
I’ll be nice if they can bring these optimisations to The Witcher 3.
