So The Kid got this today*.

It’s really good. And a hell of a workout. I’ve seen VR fitness sites who study these things say it burns 8 calories a minute on average. That’s a great 30 minute workout, and quite a sweaty VR headset =/
Having given it a go myself, I can attest to the workout part of it. I’m far from fit now, although I used to be (28 mins/6miles runner). I can recognise the good and the bad sensations of a hard workout after 20 something minutes on it. Good endorphins, reallly really bad ouchies. The Kid, who has a shotokan karate brown belt with two white stripes ( one away from black ), and therefore has a good base fitness level, said her arms “felt like noodles”. 🙂
I’m going to experiment with it and see if it can help with my chronic health issues. Maybe do a piece on it.
As a game, it’s really enjoyable. Music wise, YMMV but I liked a few of the tracks as music tracks, but enjoyed all of them immensely as levels. That goes a long way to getting you through the arduousness of having a workout. If you’ve got psvr, it’s a definite “get it” from me.
