Just thinking about all the games that have appeared on switch that people thought would never be possible. Witcher 3, Dark Souls, Doom, Divinity 2, Wolfenstein. It’s amazing what a huge install base does to technical possibilities. 😉
And for me the most genuinely great thing is that it’s the long involved games that feel most at home. I’ve bounced off Divinity before for example because I a) wasn’t comfortable at a desk for the hours of play time it needs and b) I knew the console version would involve hogging the TV far more than was feasible.
So for me it’s become the ultimate platform for the kind of games where putting the time in, in a comfortable environment is how you get the most out of it.
Even Overwatch I’ve played way more of on Switch despite getting it on PS4 at launch.
If we can get a high fidelity equivalent reasonably soon (Alienware had a great looking handheld pc at CES) then I’d be ecstatic. The form factor is almost perfect imo.
