Certainly looks the bollocks, obviously it’ll have been running on some top end PC so will be good to see how other systems manage it in November. One thing I noticed, the short clip of AC evo they put on looked so plain and dull compared to this. Haven’t gotten round to trying evo yet.

Yeah there’s going to be some backlash about Evo I think. I can understand why but by the same token it does seem like it’s genuinely a different entity making this. And honestly I think Evo was fundamentally misconceived from the start. It’ll need a lot of work.

Rally however, is looking like the modern day RBR we all want.

Yeah for sure it’s a totally different bunch making it, just looked so much better than evo, in that clip anyway.
Interested to see how it’ll do on my now old 3070 gfx card, for sure won’t look that good.

Even at £19.99 that’s a decent price, bought, dunno when I’ll get to play it though.

ACtually managed to download it at work, some weird performance issues on my laptop though. looks to run at 60+fps then has massive rubber banding, will play with some settings but tweaked already and couldn’t get rid. Laptop is getting on a bit but has a 2070 super in it and a half decent i7

Had a quick blast, not a super great first impression.

Performance feels a bit weird, says 60-80fps in the overlay but doesn’t feel it, maybe the frame pacing?
No way to map the d-pad style stick on the McLaren GT3 wheel, so have to navigate using keyboard, which is a pain
FFB feels very light and floaty on my Fanatec CSL DD, with no sensation of the road beneath you, even if you turn it up

I think clearly a lot of promise but still in the early part of early access it seems. Probably good to give it a month or two and then revisit.

Re: dpad style interaction. I actually could map that to either of the little sticks on my wheel. But I’m on the simagic ecosystem now so I think there will be discrepancies in the way it works between systems at this stage of early access.

I actually enjoyed it a fair bit in the mini. I can vouch for how it feels, as my first car was a 1975 mini. It bounces off bumps at speed exactly like mine did for sure 😅.

I only gave it an hour though. It certainly feels like it’s got the potential to bring the RBR feel into the modern world, I just hope they can bring in enough stage miles.
