I was thinking of a couple of other writers. Connor Makar is one of them.
Used the word “Sick” to mean “good” in a headline or two. That got my “old man shouts at cloud” mode on. As did his insistence on calling ornithopters helicopters in every bloody Dune article.
Just generally I’m quite suspicious of some of the changes they’ve made. Even though they’re making the right noises at times I’m not convinced it’s for the right reasons.
For example they posted this week about changes they’re making to “give us what we want”. And one of those changes is introducing infinite scrolling into the articles, which sucks baws. It’s abused in social media and I suspect it’ll be abused here.
