Some interesting updates prior to Beta …

Closed vs Open Weapons - both options will be in the Beta. This relates to some weapons being restricted to specific classed (Closed) or not. E.g. Whether only Recon class can equip a Sniper rifle. The open system gives classes benefits to sticking with their class weapon, but no restriction. There was an article on Eurogamer complaining about Open weapons, but it seemed like a lot of nothing burger if the option is there.
The gadget pools for each class seem quite interesting - they are introducing the ladder for the Assault class in the Beta - and also removing the spawn beacon from the Recon class. The latter will help reduce the sniper just respawning to their favourite spot all the time.
Stuff like this is also intriguing in terms of squad dynamics and sticking together …
Commanding Presence has replaced Enhanced Mobility as the new Signature Trait. This trait speeds up capturing objectives for nearby squad members and takes you and your team out of combat status faster. With this new ability we’re taking another step to provide the Assault class with more team focused abilities.
One of the other points of note from the impression pieces and videos released this week is that vehicles are a bit easier to take down as Engineer class. I felt with that had shifted too much towards vehicles being too tough in recent Battlefields - so that’s good to hear.
