I’ve been playing a lot of this since the Switch 2 launch. It’s absolutely glorious. Initially it feels like more of the same, but give it an hour or two and you start to see the ways they’ve elevated it from what was already a very high quality title in hades 1.
I’m about ten hours in now and I’d say the challenge is higher now but also the potential for buildcraft both in each run and in the overarching meta system is completely on another level.
The combat is slightly different, more casting focused but not to the point that it feels alien. The music and voice acting is, yet again, superb.
The word “sumptuous” came to mind with the first game, it’s front of mind here too. It’s an expertly crafted work of art.
