Honestly any manufacturer makes decent cameras these days. Iâd look on MPB for something secondhand with an option for full manual control As well as aperture and/or shutter priority.
Personally Iâve long been in love with the image quality and ergonomics of Fuji but people seem to have gone bat shit recently and the second hand prices are literally mad as a box of frogs. I sold my x100v last year for more money than I paid for it on launch day.
So steer clear of secondhand Fuji. Theyâre superb but people have turned them into fashion objects and they just arenât worth that money.
Donât worry too much about megapixels either (hypocritical from me as Iâm rocking 100 now, but thatâs for very large prints and very high detail work). Lens quality is king. I would look at Panasonic or lumix to begin with. Theyâve collaborated with Leica for a long time so the lenses are great. They can be a bit of a dark horse image quality wise.
Edit: the other place Iâd look at is Ffordes. Theyâve been in the industry for decades and Iâve used them both online and at their shop many times.
