Necro!
I’ve had this in my pile of shame for a while. It’s still in early access but by Christ it’s already very… Satisfactory.
I love factory building games. Spent a lot of time with the kid when she was wee playing Pixeljunk’s 2D one (which I highly recommend for local coop with pre teen kids and older) and have craved something that takes things considerably further for a long time.
I’ve got Factorio too but for some reason this is much more appealing to me.
Amazingly, if you’re up for spending a good amount of time setting up a control scheme, the obligatory “runs great on deck” line applies here too. It did crash a fair bit when I was bringing up steam input to alter the scheme, but since I’ve stopped doing that (I’m 90% there with a good scheme now) I’ve had zero issues. 40 fps on medium iirc.
I just totally lost the last 4 hours learning to split and merge conveyor lines to allow me to make different things from the same base ingredients. Nerd heaven.
