Worth it’s own thread. Sony have added a couple of game trials to PS5. Starting with Sackboy (5 hours) and Death Stranding DC (6 hours).

It’s a good idea, helps provide time limited demos of the full game using standard functionality. What’s not to like? The stupidity of the implementation is the main thing really.
The 5 hours starts from the moment you kick off the download. It’s madness. So to actually get a decent play if the game you need to plan it in advance, be beholden to variability of download speeds on both the side of PSN and your own speed, and there will be a whole slew of people who won’t actually have time to download it in the first place before the time expires.
I have a fast connection. Sackboy weighing in at 32GB I kicked off at 6PM. It finished at about half six but I then needed to have food, keep kids entertained etc. I got back to it at 10PM and managed almost an hour before it expired.
Who thought this was a good way to do it? Make it in total time played and pause that time when the game is closed, even if you then reduce the time allowed. Don’t hamstring a good idea with this stupidity.
