New demo is up now
Heh-uhhh Uhhhh Hmmghh Mmmgh Uhhh Wait!
š
Not a single mention of chaos.
But still REALLY bloody weird.
Thereās at least one āchaosā at 21 seconds š
Still very interested in this. The story looks awful but I think the actual game has a lot of potential.
Gordon yeah agreed. Iām just not sure Iāll be able to deal with the cheese for the duration. Iāll give it a bloody good go though.
Maybe Japanese voice actors with subtitles will change it. I know it worked for me in FFVII remake. Suddenly Cloud wasnāt a jerk.
Some proper gameplay here:
Brave Itās out right in the middle of Horizon FW, Elden Ring, GT7 and Tiny Tina. Iām hoping by the time Iām done with all that lot itāll be cheap. Or itāll turn out to be awful and Iāll pass š
To follow on from yesterdayās āofficial final trailerā, today Square put out another trailer š
Tons of cheese as is now expected, but thereās a decent look at the combat system too. Tons of loot and customisation and online co-op š
Yeah the coop sounds pretty promising tbh
Brave But who gets to be Jack?
Gordon whoever is secretly the bad guy? Heās Garland innit
Chaos! @1m30s š
Co-op sounds quite Nioh unsurprisingly.
New demo out, has co-op I think.
Gordon Iām up for trying it out matey. Will get it downloaded.
Sounds like the story and the CHAOS CHAOS CHAOS stuff is as daft and poorly done as expected, but the gameplay is sound. Iām still in. š

I almost have to admire the audacity of how blasĆ© Square Enix is with its own history, and wonder how much of Stranger of Paradise was intended as comedy. Is it irreverence or just laxity? If you thought Final Fantasy 7 Remake took liberties with its source material, at least there seemed to be a purpose and intent behind it. Stranger of Paradise meanwhile feels like an ill-thought fanfic, given free rein to ransack the back catalogue. For those just interested in the combat, though, thereās still a flashy and trashy time to be had, especially if you treat it as a Final Fantasy theme park ride where you get to batter a familiar bestiary - Bombs! Courels! Malboros! - for garishly coloured loot. At the very least, it might make a case for more approachable and less demanding Soulslikes (Soulslites?). Or, like Jack, you might just think, āBullshit,ā and walk away.

Iāll add. This is one of those coop games where Iād be open to a āwait for a certain price on sale ā pact.
Because Ghostwire is looking like it might be another great game and it launches very soon.
/ahem
@Gordon
Brave Iām definitely up for it but I need to get Elden Ring out of my system first. As soon as it goes on sale Iāll grab it.
Gordon thatās pretty much my thinking matey š
Feels like thereās strong GamePass potential for this one.
